Maybe cos I am thirty, but I don't understand or relate to this trend.
Sold all over the world the brand does basics better than anyone else, it works on the principle that simple good fitting t-shirts do not need images on their t-shirts, brand logos to sell. Their t-shirts are so good, other labels add prints to them.
Summed up in one word: VESPA
-iconic
-European
-Mod
-Sophisticated
I don't like the term scooter, moped is ok.
Better is 'I ride a Vespa', which is iconically cool like mini coopers and kombi camper vans.
Hipster: a term that is dual in it nature. On one hand it is a description of a youth movement, that hates being referred to as Hipsters, to be a hipster, you have to hate hipsters and think of yourself as having an individual style and not being one
Regardless of his unmasking as a white middle-class man, his street art and his rebellion is what matters. Many artists are more boring than their art, Banksy work should stand alone...Ironic that the 'cult of personality' that made him unmasked him!

why is lego cool a)it is iconic b)it is so Nerdy it is cool c) you can get Lego ipod speaker, usb sticks c) it has been adopted by hip-hop, hipster who all relish its nostalgia. You know lego isn't a kids toy anymore, when adults like it more.

This technology is emerging, it has little real world examples but just stop and think about the possible applications in the future. The mind boggles, it is truly exiting. New types of games or AR overlaying your view with stats, social content etc
Any US President who can invoke admiration and inspire people from other countries to take a keener interest in US politics, has to be valued. Obama is a brand, a ideal and a tipping point. Other countries want their political leaders to be like him.
Big with artists and hipsters, I am neither but I appreciate iconic design. Their is something timeless about Moleskine notebooks, I own a Moleskine(the one with pockets) used to store thoughts, dreams, paper or business cards from hip establishments
I would sport a beard if a) if I was not judged professionally by my personal hygiene b) could get through the prickly stage without shaving it off cos it annoyed me. Not a great pitch I know, but I still want one so that saying something.
