It's starting to leak into laptops via the touchpad. Apple's new ultra-slim laptop has some multi-touch functionality, for example.

No, they are probably going to be in hotels, bars, etc before they become a consumer product. Theres a wine bar in NYC that uses the technology on the bar, so you can compare wines and order with your fingers. Pretty cool
